BIOGRAPHY: David Lapham

I grew up in a small town in Iowa. After graduation from high school I attended college for a semester then enlisted in the U. S. Marines. After three years I received an appointment to the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis and upon graduation I was commissioned in the Marine Corps. I retired from the Marines, moved to Orlando, my wife's hometown, and have lived there since.

I have been a voracious life-long reader of both fiction and nonfiction and have written casually from an early age. About ten years ago I began to take writing more seriously and have written two books, one published (Ghosts of St. Augustine). My second book, Ancient City Hauntings, has just been published. I am now working on two more books, another of ghost stories and a novel.

I am a storyteller with a life-long fascination with the thin places, those mystical edges between the seen and the unseen.

I am a member of the National Writers Association.
